Circle of Control, Influence, and Concern
The circles of control, influence, and concern model helps people understand personal power and emotional health. It has three layers: the inner circle includes what we can control, like our thoughts and feelings. The middle circle covers things we can influence, such as relationships and outside situations. The outer circle involves things we cannot control, like global events or others' actions. Recognizing these layers allows people to focus on what they can change, reducing helplessness and anxiety about things outside their control. This model encourages empowerment and a proactive attitude toward mental health.
